Coahoma Collective is a nonprofit driving arts-driven, community-inclusive development in downtown Clarksdale. We seek creative, can-do individuals to contribute to an emerging and ongoing creative placemaking effort right here in the Mississippi Delta!
This is a life/work endeavor, organized around two downtown businesses: a general store & garden center called Collective Seed & Supply Co., and Travelers Hotel, a 20-room boutique hotel we opened February 2019.
We’re looking to attract folks who wish to live creatively and build community -- not just artists per se, but anyone with an entrepreneurial streak and a penchant for/experience in hospitality/retail/extreme kindness. Join us and help us operate and continue to grow these businesses, and develop programs and events that engage locals and visitors alike!
Benefits include a flexible work schedule (about 25 hours/week), on-site living (you don’t have to live on site, but it’s an option) and studio/work space. We endeavor to work with individuals who are entrepreneurial, driven, committed to community action while possibly living outside of their comfort zone, and making sure that things that need to get done, are done.
